What is an android?

Nowadays the popularity of Android is getting up like at the summit of Himalaya. We, everybody, use android, but don’t know what is this & from where it came. Basically, it is nothing but it just an operating system for mobile. As we all know. Yes exactly what it means actually. Silicon Valley company is the developer of it. Firstly it had a different name. That is Android INC.

Google acquired Android Inc in July 2005 for at least $50. In 2007 google collaborated with this company through an open handset alliance. It is not only an operating system but also middleware & key applications. This operating system was designed for touchscreen mobiles for the first time. Google furtherly developed it for TV, cars, wrist watch etc. It was released as an open source code after the Linux kernel. For the first time,e there was no kind of java development machine in this operating system. Only java was responsible for that.

Therefore google launched Dalvik for this operating system. Because of google needed to run the android instead of java program. what is Dalvik? Dalvik is a virtual machine for this platform. It plays on this operating system by replacing Java.

Dalvik runs recompiled java code & reads it as Dalvik bytecode & was designed to optimize battery power & maintain functionally in an environment with lots of functions. Such as with limited memory, Cpu power.

History of Android

October 2003 in California android was founded. Exactly in Palo Alto, android Inc was founded. Founders are Andy Rubin, Chris White, Nick Sears & Rich Miner. Andy Rubin described android Inc as the ” tremendous potential in developing smarter mobile devices that are more aware of its owner’s location & preferences ”

There is a little heart touching story. Android was fetching eviction, that Andy Rubin had the difficulty to attract investor early on. Steve Perlman, a close friend of Andy Rubin brought an envelope for Rubin with cash of $10000 & shortly thereafter wired an undisclosed amount as seed funding. Perlman refused a stake in the company. He also stated that ” I did it because I believed in the thing, & I wanted to help Andy Rubin.

Is Android secure?

Lots of people think that Android is less secure then apple or iPhone. But I will tell you this is not absolutely correct. Basically, it depends on you. How will you take This OS? I will not tell about others security but it is not less secure than others. I can tell you that. Once you purchase an Android device, you get lots of features with restricted access. so there is nothing to worry about.

But if you Root your android device, you will get unlimited access to it. If you want to know more about how to root your device, then click here to go. If you want security for your device, I will recommend you not to do that.

Without rooting your device, there is another option that makes your device less secure. That is third-party app installation. This OS is highly sensitive for downloading third-party apps. You can install third party apps with your own risk. If you use the familiar app then there is nothing to worry about.
